Ingredients

  • 1 cup lemon juice (from about 45 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • A few drops pink food coloring (for lemonade)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)
  • A few drops pink food coloring (for whipped cream)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and granulated sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Add the cold water and mix well.
  3. Add a few drops of pink food coloring and stir until evenly colored.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream on medium-high speed until it begins to thicken.
  5. Add the powdered sugar if using and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  6. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the whipped cream and gently mix.
  7. Fill a glass about three-quarters full with the pink lemonade, add ice cubes if desired, and top with a dollop of pink whipped cream so it floats.
  8. Garnish with a lemon slice if desired.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy.
