Description

Delicious and fudgy brownies perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and line a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, add the butter, oil, espresso powder, and cocoa powder. Melt the butter while whisking together over medium heat. Once melted, add the sugar and stir in. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  4. In a stand mixer, add the saucepan ingredients. With the mixer running at medium speed, add the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time. Slowly add the dry ingredients and stop as soon as they are incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the lined baking dish. Cover with sprinkles. Bake for 23-26 minutes or until the edges are firm and the center is set. Let cool before slicing.
