- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until smooth.
- Add egg and molasses, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For a spicier flavor, increase ginger and cinnamon.
