Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until smooth.
  4. Add egg and molasses, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
