Ingredients

- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup chocolate chunks
- Sea salt flakes for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325F and line a 9×5 or 8×5 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and oil in the microwave or on the stove top in a medium saucepan.
- Transfer the melted butter to a large bowl, or if melted in a bowl, add in the granulated and brown sugar. Whisk until combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla, whisk to combine.
- Whisk in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until the flour mixture disappears.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out with a few wet crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing and enjoying.

- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
