Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 carrot, julienned

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in basil leaves.
  6. Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water until soft.
  7. Place beef mixture, cucumber, and carrot on each wrapper.
  8. Roll tightly and serve with dipping sauce.
