Description

Sweet Air Fryer Churro Bites are a delightful dessert that combines a crispy exterior with a soft interior, coated in cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup white sugar for coating
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder for coating

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and add flour gradually, stirring continuously until a smooth dough forms. Remove from heat.
  3. Transfer dough to a bowl and let cool for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Add egg and vanilla. Mix with a hand mixer until smooth.
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray the basket.
  7. Pipe bite-sized churros into the basket without overcrowding.
  8. Lightly brush churros with butter. Air fry for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Cook in batches if needed.
  9. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  10. While churros are warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar. Brush lightly with melted butter if needed to help coating stick.
  11. Serve warm with chocolate syrup, honey, or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer to ensure even cooking.
  • Dough can also be spooned instead of piped for a rustic shape.
