- Salt + Freshly Cracked Black Pepper to taste
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, stem and seeds removed; finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Tomato Paste
- 1 can (15 oz.) Tomato Sauce
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 1 cup Cooked Rice (brown or white)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and garlic; cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the brown sugar, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and beef broth; stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked rice and heat through before serving.
