  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup seedless strawberry jam
  • 3/4 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 11/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl of a stand mixer, stir together warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top; let sit until foamy, about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Turn mixer speed to medium; gradually mix in 3-1/2 cups flour, egg, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until dough comes together and pulls away from the sides.
  3. Transfer dough to a greased bowl. Cover with a towel; let rise at room temperature for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Sprinkle a cutting board with the remaining 1/4 cup flour. Transfer dough to floured surface. Roll dough into a 1/4-inch-thick rectangle.
  5. Cut 8 even strips of dough down the length of the rectangle.
  6. In a small bowl, stir together strawberry jam, chopped strawberries, and cinnamon. Spread the mixture evenly over the dough.
  7. Starting with the long end of each strip, tightly roll the dough to form a roll. Repeat with all strips.
  8. Place in a greased 13×9-in. baking dish. Cover with a towel; let rise an additional 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake for 35-38 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Meanwhile, place cream cheese and butter in a bowl. Beat on medium speed until smooth, 2-3 minutes. Gradually mix in confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla extract; beat another 1-2 minutes.
  11. Spread cream cheese glaze on warm cinnamon rolls. Serve immediately.
