Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • pounds top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 8 metal skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place steak cubes in the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 8 hours.
  3. Thread marinated beef and vegetables onto skewers, alternating pieces and leaving slight space between them.
  4. Brush lightly with some of the marinade, then discard any remaining marinade.
  5. Grill over high heat for 8–10 minutes, turning every few minutes, until cooked to desired doneness.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Works well with other vegetables like zucchini or cherry tomatoes.
