Description

Ingredients

  • 300g rice cakes
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Skewers

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice cakes in water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
  3. Thread the soaked rice cakes onto skewers.
  4. Brush the sauce over the rice cakes.
  5. Grill the skewers over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
  • Serve with pickled radish for a refreshing contrast.
  • These can also be pan-fried if grilling is not an option.
