Description
Spicy Tteok Kkochi is a popular Korean street food featuring skewered rice cakes coated in a spicy sauce.

- 300g rice cakes
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Skewers
Instructions
- Soak the rice cakes in water for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
- Thread the soaked rice cakes onto skewers.
- Brush the sauce over the rice cakes.
- Grill the skewers over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
- Serve with pickled radish for a refreshing contrast.
- These can also be pan-fried if grilling is not an option.
