Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
- Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and onion soup mix, then pour over the meatballs.
- Add sliced mushrooms on top of the meatballs.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sauté the mushrooms before adding them to the slow cooker.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or peas for extra nutrition.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
