A beautifully plated Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo featuring tender shrimp, cheese-filled tortellini, and a creamy Alfredo sauce garnished with fresh parsley.
Ingredients
1 lb shrimp (peeled and cleaned)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp butter
1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Fresh parsley (chopped for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the Tortellini
In a large pot, cook the cheese tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Stir the Shrimp
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked through and pink. Remove and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream. Let simmer for 2 minutes, then slowly add the Parmesan cheese. Whisk until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Mix
Add the cooked tortellini and shrimp to the skillet. Mix everything together until well coated with the Alfredo sauce.
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve warm. Enjoy!
Tips:
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes for extra heat.
Add a little lemon juice for a refreshing flavour.
