Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender beef steak with bell peppers and onion.
Ingredients

- 1 lb (450 g) beef steak (sirloin, flank, or ribeye), thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Toss the beef slices in the mixture until coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef slices in a single layer and sear 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Add bell peppers and onion, sauté 3–4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Add beef broth or water and stir to combine. Cook 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Taste and adjust with salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

- Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
- Marinate for at least 15 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Use colorful bell peppers for visual appeal.
- Leftovers: store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2–3 days; reheat gently on the stove or microwave.
