Description

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread the peach mixture over the batter evenly.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
