Ingredients

  • 6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread the peach mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
