- 6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Spread the peach mixture over the batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can substitute with frozen peaches if fresh are not available.
