Description

One Pan Cheesy Meat & Potato Skillet is a hearty dish made with ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, all cooked in one pan.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  3. Add diced potatoes and seasonings. Stir well to combine.
  4. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in cream and half of the cheese, mix until melted.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and cover until melted. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Use a cast iron skillet for best texture.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy version.
