- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup strawberry puree
- 1 cup whipped cream for frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk and vanilla extract.
- Divide the batter into three equal parts. Mix strawberry puree into one part, leave one part as vanilla, and add cocoa powder to the last part for chocolate.
- Pour each batter into separate greased cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
- Layer the cakes with whipped cream in between and on top.
