Description
Delicious Monster Cookies loaded with oats, chocolate chips, and peanut butter.
Ingredients

- 1½ cups old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chocolate candy-coated pieces
- Flake sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or baking mats.
- In a medium bowl, stir together oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Using a mixer, beat butter, peanut butter, and sugars until creamy and smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix on low until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips and chocolate candy-coated pieces.
- Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon portions and place on baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly browned and centers are still soft.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with sea salt, and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Recipe can be doubled easily.
- Press extra chocolate pieces on top after baking for a decorative look.
