Melopita is a traditional Greek honey pie dessert made with simple ingredients and packed with flavor.
Ingredients

- 2 cups of ricotta cheese
- 1 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, honey, and milk until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and set.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with additional honey drizzled on top.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Best enjoyed chilled.
