Description

These irresistible salted caramel apple bars are perfect for fall. They combine the sweetness of apples with the richness of caramel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Press two-thirds of the mixture into a greased baking pan.
  4. Spread chopped apples evenly over the crust.
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool and sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
