Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, and buttermilk.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in diced apples and walnuts.
  6. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
