Ingredients

  • 2 cups of pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
