- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cherry filling
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour into a greased and lined baking pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly, then roll the cake in a clean kitchen towel.
- Once cool, unroll and spread whipped cream and cherry filling.
- Roll the cake back up and refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Slice and serve with chocolate shavings on top.
Notes
- Ensure the cake is completely cool before rolling.
- You can use fresh cherries instead of filling.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
