Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cherry filling
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour into a greased and lined baking pan.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool slightly, then roll the cake in a clean kitchen towel.
  8. Once cool, unroll and spread whipped cream and cherry filling.
  9. Roll the cake back up and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  10. Slice and serve with chocolate shavings on top.
