- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until soft.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Slowly add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add chicken, carrots, peas, and potatoes; mix well.
- Pour mixture into pie crust.
- Cover with another pie crust; seal edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use leftover chicken for convenience.
- Customize vegetables to your preference.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
