Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and cook until soft.
  4. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
  5. Slowly add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Add chicken, carrots, peas, and potatoes; mix well.
  7. Pour mixture into pie crust.
  8. Cover with another pie crust; seal edges.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
