Description
A delicious and easy-to-make glazed old fashioned donut cake that combines the flavors of traditional donuts with the convenience of a cake.

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and buttermilk.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled cake.
