Delicious Apple Pecan Cake Topped with a Sweet and Sticky Caramel Glaze


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  8. Fold in diced apples and chopped pecans.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let it cool before drizzling with caramel sauce.
