Description

Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches are a delicious and easy-to-make meal featuring tender beef cooked in a savory broth, served on crusty rolls with melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the roast.
  3. In a bowl, mix together beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the broth mixture over the roast and onions in the crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
  7. Return the shredded beef to the crockpot and stir to combine with the juices.
  8. To serve, place the shredded beef on hoagie rolls, top with provolone cheese, and serve with a side of the broth for dipping.

  • For extra flavor, add sliced bell peppers or mushrooms to the crockpot.
  • Serve with a side of chips or a salad for a complete meal.
