Description

A warm and comforting chicken noodle soup made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for chilly days.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add the chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, parsley, and black pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, shred it with two forks and return it to the soup.
  5. Add the egg noodles and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
  6. Season with salt to taste before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or corn.
