A hearty and comforting dish made with chicken and stuffing, perfect for a family meal.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1½ tablespoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 10.5 oz. cream of chicken soup (low sodium)
- 8 oz. sour cream (1 cup)
- 6 oz. stuffing mix (dry mix only)
- ¾ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups fresh green beans
- Optional Stuffing Additions:
- ½ cup onion, diced
- ½ cup celery, diced
- ¼ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup crumbled cooked beef sausage
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
Instructions
- Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Place in a lightly greased crock pot.
- In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, stuffing mix, and half of the chicken broth.
- Add stuffing mixture and green beans to the crock pot (layered or side by side).
- Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6–7 hours.
- For extra moisture, add remaining broth, stir, and heat 10 more minutes.
- For firmer stuffing, remove lid for the last 30–40 minutes or briefly brown in a hot oven if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Frozen green beans may be used but will be softer.
- To keep vegetables separate, place foil between layers.
- Beef sausage replaces traditional breakfast sausage in optional additions.
