Description
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites are a delicious treat that combines the flavors of banana, peanut butter, and chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Peel and slice the bananas into rounds about ¼ inch thick.
- Line a platter or small baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread about ½ teaspoon peanut butter on one banana slice and top with another slice to make a small sandwich. Repeat until all slices are used (about 30 bites).
- Arrange the banana bites on parchment-lined plates or baking sheets and freeze for about 1 hour, until firm.
- Melt the chocolate by placing the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then continue in 30-second intervals until fully melted (about 2 minutes total).
- Remove half of the frozen banana bites from the freezer. Dip each bite halfway into the melted chocolate (or fully coat if desired).
- Place the coated bites back on the parchment-lined platter and return to the freezer. Repeat with the remaining bites.
- Freeze for 15 minutes, until the chocolate is set.
- Enjoy immediately or transfer to a freezer-safe container for storage.
Notes
- Store in the freezer for 1–2 months.
- If very firm, let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before eating.
