Description
A flavorful dish of grilled chicken kofta served with a tangy garlic yogurt sauce.
Ingredients

- 500 g ground chicken (about 1 lb)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, garlic, and parsley.
- Add cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
- Wet your hands and shape the mixture into elongated oval kofta.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush lightly with olive oil.
- Grill the kofta for 5–7 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 75°C / 165°F).
- In a small bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to make the sauce.
- Serve the grilled kofta warm with the yogurt sauce and your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- Let the kofta rest for a few minutes after grilling to keep them juicy.
- You can adjust the spices or add paprika or chili for extra flavor.
