Caramelized Apples with Goat Cheese Crescents: A Sweet Delight

Description

Delicious caramelized apples wrapped in flaky crescent dough with goat cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium granny smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Pillsbury Crescent dough
  • ~2 tablespoons goat cheese, sliced
  • 12 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Place the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until apples are caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  3. Unroll Pillsbury crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  4. Fill each triangle with a teaspoon of caramelized apples, a slice of goat cheese and a drizzle of maple syrup.
  5. Roll up loosely, curving each into crescent shape and place on prepared cookie sheet.
  6. Bake crescents for 12-15 minutes or until deep golden brown.
  7. Drizzle with more maple syrup before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use other apple varieties if desired.
  • Adjust the amount of maple syrup to taste.
