Description

Brie, Apple, and Honey Crostini is a delicious appetizer that combines creamy brie, sweet apple butter, and fresh apples on toasted baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, cut into ½-inch slices
  • 1 jar apple butter
  • 6 ounces soft cheese (such as brie made with microbial enzymes)
  • 2 large apples, thinly sliced
  • Fresh lemon juice, for tossing apples
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans, chopped
  • Honey, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange baguette slices on a large baking sheet.
  2. Spread 1–2 teaspoons of apple butter on each slice.
  3. Place thin slices of cheese on top of each piece of bread.
  4. Bake for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is soft and melted.
  5. While baking, toss apple slices with a squeeze of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  6. Remove crostini from the oven and top each with apple slices.
  7. Sprinkle with candied pecans and drizzle lightly with honey.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Choose cheese made with microbial enzymes rather than animal rennet.
  • Best served warm and fresh from the oven.
