Description

Delicious blackened shrimp tacos topped with coleslaw and smoky garlic lime sauce.


Ingredients

  • COLESLAW
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Freshly cracked pepper
  • 1/2 bag coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • SMOKY GARLIC LIME SAUCE
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 lime (1 Tbsp juice)
  • BLACKENING SEASONING
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Freshly cracked pepper
  • TACOS
  • 1/2 lb peeled and deveined shrimp (30/40 count)
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 6 small corn tortillas
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coleslaw dressing by mixing mayonnaise, honey, Dijon, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add coleslaw mix and sliced green onions to the bowl and coat with dressing. Refrigerate until serving.
  3. For the smoky garlic lime sauce, mix mayonnaise, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and lime juice in a small bowl.
  4. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and toast the tortillas until browned on the edges.
  5. Mix blackening seasoning ingredients in a bowl and coat the shrimp.
  6. In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about one minute.
  7. Add seasoned shrimp and cook until firm, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Assemble tacos with coleslaw, shrimp, smoky garlic lime sauce, and green onions. Squeeze lime over top.
