Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add diced butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in ice water until dough forms.
  4. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. In another bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  7. Roll out dough and cut into circles.
  8. Place apple mixture on one half of each circle.
  9. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  10. Brush with beaten egg and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
