Description

Golden-brown cubes of air-fried Agedashi Tofu topped with grated daikon, green onions, and bonito flakes, served in a savory tsuyu broth.


Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu (14 oz)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dashi stock
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon bonito flakes (optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into cubes.
  2. Coat the tofu cubes with cornstarch evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the tofu cubes in a single layer.
  5. Air fry the tofu for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, dashi stock, and mirin. Heat until warm.
  7. Serve the crispy tofu in a bowl, drizzled with the warm sauce, and garnish with green onions and bonito flakes if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the tofu in soy sauce for 30 minutes before coating with cornstarch.
